Sequin patches feature small, shiny discs called sequins that are stitched onto a fabric backing. Sequins can be made from plastic, metal, or holographic materials. They're attached using embroidery techniques that secure each sequin individually for maximum durability.

Flip sequins (also called reversible or mermaid sequins) have two different colors on each side. You can run your hand over them to flip the sequins and change the appearance of the patch! They add an interactive, playful element that's very popular in fashion and entertainment.

When properly applied, sequin patches are quite durable! Each sequin is individually stitched down, so losing a few sequins over time with heavy wear is normal but won't ruin the patch. We recommend hand washing or gentle cycle, and avoiding rough surfaces that could catch on sequins.

We do NOT recommend ironing directly on sequins! The heat can melt plastic sequins or discolor metallic ones. If ironing is necessary, iron from the back side only on low heat, or place a pressing cloth over the sequins and use very low heat.
